About Me
A Brief Bio
I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara because really, why would
you want to go to school anywhere else? Beginning with the goal of a B.S. in Computer Science, I eventually switched majors after 2 years when I discovered my true passion,
Sociology. I continued my work on computer science though, taking on a position as the student webmaster of
UCSB's SexInfo. While trying to make sense of this drastic change, and figure out where I would go after college, I entertained the idea of putting my sociological
expertise to work by going into marketing. However, in the summer of 2007, I applied for and got a job as a student developer for SIS&T, the technical department for the
division of Student Affairs at UCSB. The rest, as they say, is history. I learned (and continue to learn!) about professional web development at an astronomical rate.
After graduation, I was offered full-time employment, which I gladly accepted. Despite abandoning my intermediate goal of a B.S. in Computer Science, I had landed pretty
much where I always thought I would. As Douglas Adams might say, "I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be."
In my spare time, I enjoy watching television and movies, playing video games, reading novels (mostly sci-fi and classics), going to the gym and occasionally doing
a woodburning project. You can also find me online in the following places:
